The City of Canterbury’s Australia Day celebrations will be held on Monday 26 January from 10 am to 3 pm at Tasker Park, Phillips Ave, Canterbury, and Canterbury Aquatic Centre.
The day will commence at 10 am and is jam packed with free family-fun entertainment including:
- Free rides and face painting
- Fun Summer Games including potato sack races and thong throwing
- AFL and soccer clinics
- Make your own Australiana garland with free art and craft
Experience the amazing bird and wildlife show, while enjoying the tunes of the roving 5 Star Brass Band. Charlotte Jane Band and Green Beaver keep the groove going under a shaded area while you enjoy a free sausage sizzle.
$2 entry at Canterbury Aquatic Centre!
You can also enjoy a big splash at our Australia Day pool party with $2 entry at Canterbury Aquatic Centre.

Do you live in the Riverwood area and would like to attend our fabulous Australia Day Celebrations at Tasker Park in Canterbury?
- Pick up from Riverwood Community Centre (151 Belmore Road North, Riverwood) - 10am, 11am and 12noon - to Phillips Avenue, Tasker Park, Canterbury.
- Return from Tasker Park to Riverwood Community Centre - 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm.
